We propose removing the slip lane on Precita Avenue with modal filters and converting the space into a pedestrian area. The change would improve safety, enhance walkability, and create a more livable public space for the community.
What is a modal filter?
A modal filter lets people walking and biking pass while restricting cut-through vehicle traffic. Replacing the slip lane with a filter would reclaim valuable street space for people.
